can’t really download torrents on Roku. also, that’s stealing. not that you would care.

@sqlb3rn segfavlt I don’t care either. But Roku has a Plex app. Just torrent and add to a Plex Server. ????????‍☠️

@Streaming Junkie whatever works for you. I don’t have time to search and download a bunch of torrents every day. most content you can’t even get unless it’s star trek or big bang theory. I don’t have Netflix but that much of my time is worth way more than 13 bucks a month.

@sqlb3rn segfavlt I don’t agree with you about the “most content you can’t even get unless it’s star trek or big bang theory” I had Justice League within hours after its release. I downloaded entire TV series within minutes. Pretty much anything is available. And it doesn’t take a whole lot of time to track down or download. I can honestly say I spent more time searching for something on Netflix than finding a torrent source since a PC much more efficient for searching than a tv remote. The most I waited for a download was for 15 minutes for a 4K HDR 4 hour – 32GB film. That’s only because I prefer downloading it completely before playing it to eliminate buffering. I don’t torrent every show, I have Netflix, Hulu, & Amazon Prime video. But for that one show I like to watch that isn’t worth paying a full monthly subscription, the opportunity is there. Btw, I only pay $5 for UHD Netflix, so there are smarter ways to get some legitimately ????

My best Netflix hack was unsubscribing from their repository of boring content.

      March 25, 2021 at 6:57 pm

Well, that depends on how quickly to receive and send back discs, right?

There is one think that I hate. For example I have been watching a Korean TV Show Alice and now I have Korean TV Shows in my recommendations. Similar think I have with other categories. How can I remove those “recommended categories”. I have tried deleting my viewing history but that is painful and time consuming. Does anyone knows better way to get rid of unwanted recommendations. I also do not want open new profile because in that case I would lost info about programs I had seen before I opened new profile

I have been using the profile trick for ten years. I have one for psychological horror, scifi, thrillers, true-crime, dark films ; then another profile for comedies, a third for dramas and documentaries; the fourth for raunchy stuff ????.

Does anyone know how to check and/or set the resolution of currently watched content on Netflix? Something like we have on youtube?
I know there is some option in the general settings like Low/Medium/High quality, but this is vague.

    • John Gyver

      March 26, 2021 at 11:40 am

Actually I just found the answer to that: if you’re watching through web browser on Windows, pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift + D shows some technical data about currently played video, including the numbers that seem to be the resolution.

Remove from row has been there for as long as I can remember. ✌????

  23. David Adams

    March 25, 2021 at 11:34 pm

Also, for the people who actually care about video/audio quality . . .streaming can’t touch Blu-Ray. At least not for the time being. You’ll never get audio to stream as high quality as you’ll get it from a Blu-Ray disc.

How can I view the movie description without the movie starting? Its so annoying to get blasted with the movie intro while I’m still deciding whether to watch it or not. Edit-using PS4 app

  29. sty0pa

    March 26, 2021 at 5:23 pm

Discs often contain extras…but in many cases they DON’T, in the years before I cancelled the disc sub, it was clear that for the majority the offer only the ‘rental’ dvd that doesn’t include extras.
