For the letter thing, I’ve found many kids are very willing to learn a few letters if you make them represent people—M for mom, D for dad, the first letter of their name and their siblings names, etc. They like being able to point to a letter and think “That’s my letter!” or “That’s mommy’s letter!” even if they have no interest in memorizing the whole alphabet.

Not a parent but a teacher and one of my friends who is a mom didn’t stress about potty training too much. Her philosophy was “He’s not going to be pooping in a diaper when he’s 10… he’ll stop eventually when he realizes no one else poops in a diaper.”
And he did! 😂He essentially self potty trained at about 3. I know most kids aren’t like that but I always thought that was interesting.

9:00 it’s not just kids lol I’ve used this tack to memorize stuff like the quadratic formula and the like in all sort of subjects since high school. Used it in my master’s degree even. I remember epic rap battles of history occasionally helping on world history tests as well- the jokes would directly tie to a summary of X historical figure’s biography. When in doubt, make a rap or song about it! 😀 You WILL remember it, and I still can randomly solve quadratics to this day even though I never have to.

Yeah the potty training tricks aren’t for every kid my nephew almost four and we tried everything and we can not get the kid to sit on the toilet without wrestling him onto it…and he understands the process he points out stuff on potty training shows but he really stubborn…do not recommend the no pants for 3 days method for any kid 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢so gross there was bodily fluids everywhere in the house he would get off the toilet run too another room and squat laughing

I used those mini Reese’s PB cups to potty train my younger son. I would give them to BOTH my sons when the younger used the toilet. The older one actually started to encourage the younger-and it helped! 😂

My 17 month old LOVES Ms. Rachel. We have her clothes, toys and book, and her room is Ms.Rachel decor. Because of her watching Ms.Rachel(and mom) she can count to ten out loud and even fill in numbers when I pause, she knows all her colors and says them , she says her shapes, she says the letters and can fill in the letters when I pause. She can say all her body parts and just everything. It’s super cool. Forever grateful for her show as I’m a single mom that’s in school ❤

Yes I do the Things I like with my kids most times. Cooking, baking, eating, and we do scrapbooking afternoons where I do my family journal and they do theirs or just draw/gut/glue❤ they like games and Reading so I do that, but I draw the Line at being a unicorn/dog/cat/baby. I almost cried at the hate playing, i am so rubbish at imaginative play l, i need purpose and out come. I read to the and i love snuggles and games. But ive been feel awful over not wanting to play but i do cook homemade meals everday cuz i used to be a chef, i take miy kids out atlwast 5 times a week, i dnt buy my things anymore sometimes i even go without shampoo some times because i gotta make sure the kids have this or that. They are not spoilt but they dont go without. Ive just paid for a holiday for them nd ive had to stop buying my lil treats to afford it. So this made me realise im rubbish at play but im good at the other stuff

8:16 I actually remember, as a young young kid, understanding what people were saying before I started talking. Learning how to form words comes second to understanding what they mean when you hear them. 100% remember thinking – I don’t want my parents to know I understand what they’re saying and if I start talking – they’ll know I know … so weird.

My son is soooooo smart and I could give myself credit for but she’s literally the reason why he’s only 2 he knows so many animals that you wouldnt think he knows he can count to 20 he says his abc he knows ALLL her nursery songs,dance,lyrics and all I just couldn’t thank you enough ms Rachel . 💕

Miss Rachel is such an amazing addition to our house with my grandchildren. I love being able to teach sign language and use her as an example because my handicap shows my deformed hands and unfortunately, my hand signs aren’t gonna be the same hand signs as a normal ASL person and so I would like Eva to know both my way and the other way that’s why I started watching her. But my grandbaby is one she speaks sentences. Are they perfect sentences no, but she foreign sentences. She does sign language. She is very engaged. She sings songs and music knows the words to them. She’s a very smart baby and I attribute some of that. You miss Rachel, and some of that into me being engaged and her parents being loving happy good parents.

My almost 3 year old is suspected to have autism. He didn’t speak until we started watching ms Rachel. He now sings songs, can sing the alphabet, he’s super chatty, learning words quickly and he understands more. Absolutely love her and her support with getting my toddler up to speed with his development!!💗

2:56 i get very overstimulated when playing with my 4 year old. she is very “im gonna tell you what to say” and “play this way, you’re not doing it right” type of player. its super difficult to explain to her “hey, mommy needs to do something for a bit” or “mommy needs a break”
