If you use it for anything related to music or sound, you will know why need a headphone jack.

If we see these three days of apple Mac announcement, we can clearly see how copilot pc impacts on Apple
And one last thing I thank apple is upgrading ram for AI processing on device

Looking at why one Mac skipping M4 upgrade, but still retaining Mac Studio with M2 Max, it’s evident that Apple not convinced M4 is a worthy upgrade. Benchmarking we see are due to added performance cores or extra RAM.

    Can you explain this????

    Upgrading from
Macbook Pro with M4 10 core cpu & 10 core gpu chip; 16 GB RAM, 512 GB RAM
    to
Macbook Pro with M4 Pro 12 core cpu & 16 core gpu chip; 24 GB RAM, 512 GB RAM
    costs $300

    However the upgrade from
Mac Mini with M4 10 core cpu & 10 core gpu chip; 16 GB RAM, 512 GB RAM
    to
Mac Mini with M4 Pro 12 core cpu & 16 core gpu chip; 24 GB RAM, 512 GB RAM
    costs $700

The mac mini is an entry level device that comes with an entry level M4 and is has a lower starting price (you will pay a premium to upgrade it to the M4 Pro chip). The Macbook Pro is designed to come with an M4 Pro and starts at a higher base price (even if you decide to put a basic M4 chip in it), so the price increase is not as drastic..

We’re on M4 silicon chip, yet Apple can’t support eGPU nor their baseline chips support 64 GB. Wonder what kind of architecture is that.

Finally jumping on a Mac with this generation. Mac Mini base model, but I never bothered before because 8GB is just too little and the disgusting premiums on small upgrades to RAM and storage put me off.

I am still quite happy with my M2, Mac mini, but that new M4 is pretty awesome looking! It may tempt me to upgrade in the near future.
