I grew up in a black area in the south and most black young folks were trying to emulate what they heard in rap, and some white too.
It hasn’t changed much since I was young, though the culture has become stupider.

This guy is trying to sell something. That’s why he’s “cooked the books” to make it sound like it’s not causing harm. But any Black American who’s been around longer than this guy can show you when it started to become a problem.
