Doesn’t android have same feature ?

    • @CNET

      August 22, 2026 at 10:12 am

Yes and it’s more deeply integrated into the Android operating system for system level tasks. I mention that near the end of the video.

      Google paid them to.

@breaking_chadthat’s what I was thinking. I had to double look this was CNET. I have Gemini on iPhone but I find it to be such a niche thing to do/make a video on

Remember everyone: 20 years ago we didn’t have this technology, and we were better for it.

Are you sure? Back then we had Google Search which was a pre-cursor for AI. Were we better then? So what’s the difference?

Fact is, AI is integrated in ways that you aren’t even aware of. I’m not saying it’s perfect but don’t hate it if you don’t fully understand how it really works. However, I’m sure you’ll tell me how bad it is based on your bias. 🤷🏽‍♂️

@housepianist You actually think when you do a google search. How to find information. Not just believe what they put together from stolen content.

@gkov0215 So what’s the difference between doing a Google search for something and finding that same thing in AI? AI will even give you the reference where it was found. It usually matches what was already in google search.

Give me all that data. So says Gemini. …
You guys realise that all the data you share is going to be reviewed by human at some point.

I have a Pixel 10 Pro XL and using Gemini everyday. Mostly for vibe coding. I have made a website and two Android apps with Gemini.

iOS already has Siri that works great for everything IOS. I only use Gemini because Apples default Ai app is ChatGPT is locked behind a paywall . What I mean by that is ChatGPT free limit use is worthless. I also prefer to use Apple native apps over anything else given the choice. Gemini is the Siri for Android that works great on iOS. I use it for analytical conversations a lot.

YouTube appears to be running a title experiment here

Different people are being shown different titles on this one — right now it’s roughly:

    • “Google’s Gemini App Walkthrough: I Have a Personal Assistant in My Pocket” — about 90% of viewers
    • “Google Gemini App Walkthrough: It’s a Lot More Powerful Now” — about 10% of viewers

Thank you for this, this is just what I needed to get an overview of how to use Gemini! Very well done without overwhelming the audience with a lot of technical jargon and intricacies that are difficult to understand for the average user. Please make more videos like this about Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, and some of the others.

I’m currently using the beta for the iPhone. And I tried making the shortcut, but the controls are different. Now you have to do is go straight to the shortcut button and when it comes to showing Siri, you can find a pull down option with the word Siri and it’ll show you other chatbots like Gemini to choose
