    I wish I had bought a N95 when this thing first started… It’s the only one that actually works. Bloody surgical mask makes me sweat so much when I have to go out to buy necessities…
    COMMON CLOTH DOESN’T PROTECT YOU AGAINST COVID-19!
    It’s just some sort of fashion item. Unless it’s made of polypropylene or some other non woven technical fabric.

      Finally! A person with a brain! Where idiots make you, wear one of those that cover your entire head. At least then the slave system facial recognition cameras can’t identify you.

    Cloth masks are actually NOT a choice. N95 masks are not possible to get in the USA. Someone higher up didn’t stock up so now the people here are screwed. I just don’t like how you say, Cloth Masks are a choice. It’s our only option! Wake up!

    ????1889– when there was a flu pandemic just as power lines were being strung up;
    ????1918– the creation of radio at the time of the Spanish Flu;
    ????1957– the start of radar arrived with the Asian Flu;
    ????1968– satellites in the air and the Hong Kong Flu;
    ????1996– cell towers and another major flu. And in
    ????2019, Wuhan, China initiated 5G technology (as well as Northern Italy), which she associates with the spread of the novel coronavirus.

      ?? ???? who told you this virus is transmitted by sweat ?? ???? it is possible for some viruses like Ebola, but here i have not seen any report about transmission by sweat. not all diseases are transmissible in every possible way ????

      dropplet transmission and aerosol transmission in hospital settings is already enough ????????

    good video, only thing I’d have added is this. Masks keeping germ in is important due to the fact you may not know you have covid-19, as in not showing symptoms yet or just a mild cases but still able to infect others.

    Requiring people to wear masks is RIDICULOUS. They do zero except make us all look even more like the obedient little slaves governments have turned us into. If large numbers of people don’t wake up, refuse to comply and end this house arrest/social distance/not working nonsense, we will have NO freedom ever again. Once tyrants take power, they do not give it back.

    This video was kindergarten level. N-95 is 95% efficient down to .3 microns where a N/P-100 is 100% efficient at .3 microns. The homemade cloth masks do basically nothing.

    Does using duct tape help seal the mask?

    • Celine E.

      May 1, 2020 at 7:06 am

      if you were living in an environnement where sealing is required, you would need further precautions. check the PPE of medics : they change clothes, cover they hair, sanitize a lot, wear googles, gloves, plastic shield…. and a sealed mask. that’s for a contaminated area with aerosolisation due to the use of intensive care device.

      you are not living in a contaminated area. just don’t go in the wards for Covid-19 patients, and keep social distance. and respect other measures.

      if your mask is absorbing the water you are exhaling it protects others if you are a healthy Covid-19 carrier.

    So thankful I have a 3m 6000 respirator. It was my dad’s. My mom kept it even though the last time it was used was 2002 or so. I’m so thankful my mom kept it because I’ve got asthma and am a little more at risk for getting sick with Covid 19. My respirator has P95 filters in it which are just like N95 filters only mine are made for using when around oils such as paints. This model of respirator is still made and you might be able to order one online.

    The blue surgical masks strings are weak, they snap off easily. But I improvised since they are only going to be used for a short period. I have the breathable washable ones now. I don’t care what anyone says, I look after me.

  42. YAY NOVELTY

    May 11, 2020 at 9:55 pm

    Those who wear the cloth mask incorrectly and/or keep adjusting their mask is because they don’t feel comfortable with the mask. That is why it’s important for the mask makers to consider choosing the right fabric (high technology breathable fabric, wicking capabilities, soft hand feel, and anti-microbial is a plus). Create a design that has an air pocket for easy breathing and avoid any suffocation feeling.

Investors want founders who understand the financial reality of their business. Messy data, misunderstood metrics, or waiting until you’re nearly out of cash to start fundraising can cost founders leverage, valuation, and even a term sheet.

In this episode of Build Mode, host Isabelle Johannesen sits down with Sasha Orloff, founder and CEO of Puzzle and Startup Battlefield alum, to talk about what he’s learned from building companies that have raised more than $1 billion collectively.

Sasha breaks down what investors look for during fundraising, which financial metrics founders should know by heart, and why VCs don’t expect your startup to be perfect—they expect you to understand its reality. He also shares how he nearly lost a term sheet because his data room wasn’t ready, how fundraising diligence changes as a startup grows, and why getting your financial house in order can help founders raise with more confidence and leverage.

They get into:
– What raising more than $1 billion across multiple companies taught Sasha about fundraising
– Why investors value founders who have a strong grasp of their company’s financial reality
– The financial metrics founders should know before pitching VCs
How investor expectations change from pre-seed and seed through Series A, B, and beyond
– Why revenue growth and the quality of that revenue are critical fundraising metrics
– How runway, margins, sales efficiency, and profitability factor into investor decisions
– Why waiting until you’re running out of cash can hurt your fundraising leverage
– How Sasha nearly lost a term sheet because his data room wasn’t ready
– Why financial organization and compliance can influence investor confidence and startup valuations
– What founders should have prepared for the due diligence process
– Why VCs don’t expect perfection—and why being honest about what isn’t working can make for a stronger pitch
– How Sasha’s own fundraising and finance frustrations ultimately led him to build Puzzle
– How AI could change the way startups manage accounting and understand their financial health
