Missing out on Rovum now could be a big mistake.

Open source is nowhere near these frontier models.

They are only about six months behind, so in six months they will have the same capaiblities of todays frontier llms.

GLM 5.2 is not far behind Opus 4.7

Sure its no Opus 4.8, Fable or Mythos; but Opus 4.7 was still pretty capable

They don’t want release this because then Chinese firm can replicate this within few months and release it as open source

So because of these western frontier llm can never profitably exist

Can’t lock it behind USA then you can’t make all the money back

Have to compete with Chinese firm so low margin

    Race to bottom 😂

“Frontier”… that word is such a joke. Can we please just call these “hosted enterprise models” and be done with it?

Government vetted. What a world we are now in. Chinese models and open source are the only hope.

Wasn’t mythos so dangerous six weeks ago that there was a concern it would destroy the world economy?

Anthropic probably just kissed Trump’s ass sufficiently to make him forget about the reason he was mad at them in the first place (hint: they didn’t kiss Trump’s ass properly the first time).

If Trump’s Pentagon wants China to get ahead of the US in AI, then they can keep the ban on both Fable 5 & ChatGPT 5.6 SOL. Just stop yelling that China stole anything from the US bc the US is abandoning the industry!

This is what I thought would happen, as the AI Models evolve and they gain more capability, the general public will not be allowed to use them, and only vetted companies/individuals will get that privilege.

WOW! I can’t wait to see what fable 5 will be able to do. 🙂

This restriction set a permanent tone. You not only risk using the AI, you now risk having it taken away.

“the greatest Ai breakthrough is one that people can actually use”

actually no, it’s definitely going to be a recursively self improving AI researcher which will be inevitably locked up in one of the labs

Unbelievable how Trump managed to kill the AI advantage that USA had thanks to NVIDIA and frontiers models, China is sayin’ thank you every day.
