My preference of sleep is in the (relatively) dark. I used to detest naps but now they are my friend(s). I also enjoy shut-eye in (absolute) silence/quiet or sometimes at other times with (“quiet”) noise, talking, music in the background.. .

Sleep being necessary to human biology creates its own darkness as we transition into a semiconscious state of being that’s independent of the Earth’s rotation on its axis.

at first, i was skeptical when i saw this book popping up everywhere. but vibrations of manifestation by alex lane explained manifesting in a way that made immediate sense. i applied one simple idea and began noticing changes almost instantly. do yourself a favor and google it—this could be your missing piece.

everything changed for me after i found vibrations of manifestation by alex lane online. i always thought i had manifestation figured out until this book revealed what was holding me back. one small adjustment, and my reality started shifting fast. check it out on google and see what i mean.

I bought a very bright lamp for growing plants which uses a remote control. I turned it up toward ceiling and found that it filled my home office with a very warm light, especially lacking these cloudy winter months through the one north facing window. The lamp simulates the sun and anecdotally I can say that I felt an improvement in my sleep 🤗🤗 The lamp simulates the light spectrum necessary for growing plants indoors, maybe a study of artificial sunlight equivalents could be sponsored by one of these companies. Just purchased an additional lamp for my bedroom, use it on early cloudy mornings, feels like sunlight, wakes me up. These lamps have a bluetooth remote with brightness adjustments & timer, less than $100 for a tripod unit.🤗🤗

  21. @alvinksl8405

    February 17, 2025 at 1:33 pm

Daylight is important. But as science progresses, we will one day find what she claimed above is not what actually happened, as with all other findings in science in our past by scientists. Science is the wrong tool to understand the infinity around us because it is trying to make all matters conform to it. Science itself is not at fault here; it is when we make it the rule and basis of all matters so we can control and gain something out from it, that is the mistake.

Absolutely! I am at $4.25 mil. Biggest positions PLTR, TSLA, SCHD, NVDA,BTC and now looking to build up DRGO alongside finding quality value/growth stocks to buy like TORM. I got $48k divs last year in taxable divs. Q2 taxable divs this year was $17,388 this year. Don’t sell when the market is down. Immigrant founders have built some of the world’s most valuable companies, but many still face barriers that make it harder to get a startup off the ground. Visa restrictions, limited access to friends-and-family capital, shallow networks, and a venture industry built around pattern matching can keep promising founders from getting funded before they have a chance to prove themselves.

In this episode of Build Mode () , host Isabelle Johannesen sits down with Manan Mehta, co-founder and managing partner of Unshackled Ventures, () to talk about why he believes immigrant founders represent one of venture capital’s biggest overlooked opportunities. Manan breaks down how Unshackled built an investment model designed to help founders navigate immigration barriers, why traditional VC pattern matching causes investors to miss potential outliers, and how his team evaluates founders at day zero—often before they have a product, customers, or traction. He also explains why the structural gaps that make some founders harder to fund may be exactly where investors should be looking for outsized returns.

They get into:

The four structural barriers immigrant founders face when starting companies in the U.S.

How Unshackled Ventures helps founders navigate visas while building their startups

Why VC’s reliance on pattern matching can cause investors to miss outlier founders

How Manan evaluates founders before they have a product, customers, or traction

The IQ, AQ, EQ, and SQ framework Unshackled uses to evaluate founder potential

Why resilience, lived experience, and a founder’s relationship to the problem can matter more than a polished pitch

Why structural gaps can create some of the biggest opportunities for investors

How founders without traditional networks can find alternative paths to early capital

Why founders should understand their personal “why” instead of trying to fit the traditional VC mold
